lovely rita - pt2

how prophetic!!! they showed a slight shift in ritas track last night, and sure enough this mornings updated track confirms what i feared - here comes rita!!!! right over galveston, into galveston bay, up the trinity river, skirting houston just a bit to the east, and on up into east texas. i'm now on the cleaner side of the hurricane - how come i dont feel safer?

came into work this morning, contending a little normalcy will make me feel better. normal!!! all the freeways out of here are packed, but i go the opposite way and traffic flowed free and easy. i wish i had others fluency with words - to tell whats happening. i guess i'll justwrite every now and then.

well, if i would proofread...jeez. ok, get some alcohol for your own personal hurricane party... in a semi quiet place you may occasionally need some alcohol, if you get what i mean...stress is major for a parent. fill everything with water. let garbage cans fill outside from the rain if for nothing but to flush toilets if water is not available. bar b que later, after the power goes out. if it does it maybe 3 hours, 3 days or 3 weeks. i have lived in florida including the southeastern coast near where DB lives for more than 20 years and have been lucky but have been through a few hurricanes and a number of tropical storms. power was the biggest issue. i have a generator now after last year. best of luck, i will be keeping up with the news. all good thoughts are headed your way, very stressful for a parent, i know. hang in, bud.

watcher - better than my own personal party, 2 of 3 sons, daughter in law and grandson are all here for a hurricane sleepover - and party - we figure to drink til the worst of the storm passes and then it wont matter too much whether we have AC or not

puzzy - i will make sure you get a personal invite from Zardoz himself
